A Vintage Inspired Sherlock Holmes Look

Well Hello Everyone,

I hope youre all doing well and have had a great start to 2019 so far. Todays post (as you can see from the title) is something a little different for you all, and it comes in the form of a sort of fashion/style post. The only catch is…. is that I am not used to doing these so dont judge me too harshly please..

As you have all know, I am a massive nerd and I honestly dont say that lightly, so it probably comes as no surprise that I am a massive Sherlock Holmes fan. Although I’ve never been one for cosplay (because I havent the talents to create the masterpieces that others do) I do like my fashion looks to be influenced by different themes that inspire and interest me, for example the 1940’s, 50s, Victoriana, royalty etc and in this case Sherlock Holmes. Yes, I admit I did take on the stereotypical Holmes wearing tweed look, but come on… other than a deerstalker what else could I incorporate to really give off that Victorian detective aesthetic? Its surprisingly hard to pull of kids.

Now, this post isnt coming from one of those super duper high end blogs where the authors take amazing pictures whilst posing dramatically into the sunset, oh no no. Its a low budget, hey look its me taking a selfie in the mirror kind of blog, so if youre expecting high quality from me… I suggest you go elsewhere haha.

Onwards with the look, the game is on!

Here’s the completed Sherlock inspired look, with added vintage filter. (Purely for the aesthetics and not to cover up my shoddy attempt at fashion blogging of course)
